ABOUT THE PROJECT
Generation Gender is a five-year program that aims at positively influencing public opinion, laws and policies towards gender justice, as well as strengthening civil society to advocate for gender justice all the while combatting GBV and inequality. More specifically, the program at hand relies on an innovative and inclusive gender-transformative strategy that equips youth leaders and civil society organizations (CSOs) to address the root causes of gender inequality and foster sustainable change. Its goal is to raise public support, advocate for improved policies and laws, and strengthen civil society.
OVERALL GOAL OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
A team of consultants will be required to accompany a group of young men and women between the ages of 18 and 35 from different socioeconomic, cultural, political and geographical backgrounds in conceptualizing, and developing a digital campaign which will be disseminated via ABAAD’s social media platforms in January 2023. The content that will be created will materialize in the form of 2 short videos and 3 poster-format visuals advocating for gender equality while also promoting Lebanese youths’ role in change-making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SOCIAL MEDIA CONSUTANT
Provide two full-day training sessions on the principles of designing social media campaigns including:
Collaboratively identifying the overall goal of the campaign and accordingly extracting key message of the campaign;
Identifying desired target audience and accordingly choosing the matrix that will be monitored;
Identify the most efficient digital channels and types of content to reach the corresponding demographic (e.g. videos, infographics, visuals);
Supporting the youth in creating their own visual language while ensuring it aligns with that of ABAAD;
Developing a dissemination strategy with the support of ABAAD’s communications department; and
Submitting a report that analyses social media statistics and provides detailed insights into the performance of the campaign.
Assisting the different groups of youth in conceptualizing content while building on their pre-existing internal capacities through ongoing remote coaching via mediums such as Zoom or Google Meets;
Providing videography services including pre-production, production and post production (filming, editing, coloring and sound) services;
Ensuring videographer is in constant coordination with ABAAD’s communication department as well as the youth to ensure the vision is set collaboratively;
Providing graphic design services to produce branding material, infographics and other content as part of the overall campaign; and
Coordinating and unifying the efforts of the graphic designer and videographer.
SKILLS REQUIRED
BA in visual arts, radio-TV, digital marketing or other related fields. MA is of added value;
4+ years of experience in campaign development;
Experience facilitating and delivering technical trainings and workshops;
Experience working with individuals from different cultural and social backgrounds;
Experience working in the humanitarian field and particularly with youth is encouraged;
Demonstrate creativity in content development;
Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic;
Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE VIDEOGRAPHER
Producing (including sound design and coloring) 2 short videos in various locations across Lebanon;
Liaising with the social media consultant and ensuring content is in line with ABAAD’s policies, visual language and overall identity;
The videographer will closely coordinate with the youth and follow their vision of the campaign based on the scripts to be developed collaboratively with the support of the social media expert;
Post-production: coloring, VO (if needed), sound design, music, subtitling, branding (logos and titles introduction).
Adapt formats for social media dissemination and for public screening.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to shoot inspiring and creative videos focusing on the human aspect including a call to action;
Post production and technical knowledge of video production;
Ability to work with youth from different social and cultural backgrounds;
Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Develop the design and layout of a 3 A2 size posters;
The design is to be aligned with ABAAD and donor branding and identity and to be culturally and gender-sensitive to the Lebanese and other contexts;
The design should be creative, attractive and innovative;
The design should include visuals and text;
The design will be in Arabic and/or English;
The final design of the poster should be delivered in two formats:
High quality file for printing (with cropmarks, bleed and file information)
High quality but small file size PDF file or online sharing and usage
The approval process of the developed design will be as follow:
Preparing design draft (2 different styles and mood boards to be selected from)
The designer will need to plan for a review of the drafts with:
The youth and project coordinator
The ABAAD Communications team – feedback and clearance
Feedback and approval from ABAAD’s management
SKILLS REQUIRED
Preferable previous experience working with the humanitarian sector on the production of online/offline content;
Proven track record in designing campaign materials;
Previous designs relating to GBV, youth and gender studies is advantageous;
Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Consultants are invited to submitted a brief proposal demonstrating their suitability to undertake this assignment by September 20th, 2022 at the latest. Documents requested are:
CV/portfolio, demonstrating previous experience in the same requested field;
A brief methodology on how to approach and conduct the assignment including proposed timetable and resources required
Detailed budget breakdown (which should consist of the proposed daily fee, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses).
