The major items comprise the following: - Widening of the existing carriageway, equally on either side of the existing carriageway, unequally on either side of the existing carriageway or through local realignment of the existing road to provide standard carriageway and shoulder. - Construction of drainage structures, pipe and box culverts and utility ducts with necessary protection works - Provision of Road Safety features i.e. road marking, road signs and road studs etc. - Provision and installation of normal and heavy duty and concrete safety barriers and guard rails. - Traffic management and safety during all construction activities. - MSE walls, slope and scour protection as required - Safety barriers, delineators and fences - Traffic signs and road markings - Road lighting - Miscellaneous items such as utility identification, protection, relocation.
