Tenders are invited for Researchers to Develop a Training Manual on Male Behavior. Caring for masculinity is an identity bet that contributes to dismantling the foundations of the patriarchal-patriarchal system in the horizon of building a new perception of men that engages in the spirit of diversity, difference, and human rights, including the human rights of women. As gender equality and ending all forms of discrimination and violence is not an issue exclusive to women, it concerns women and men, girls and boys alike. It is therefore important to stress that men too may struggle with or reject the social role assigned to them culturally. Being a man is indeed a form of privilege within patriarchal societies, but it can also be a social burden and cultural coercion; The social and cultural expectations of stereotyped-normative masculinity are already putting real pressure on men.. Providing a practical training guide to promote positive masculine behaviors within the framework of the available capabilities aims at rethinking the positive models of masculinity within society, the negative effects of which not only women but even men themselves suffer through the high social expectations and burdens placed on them. On the other hand, contributing to enhancing the involvement of young people, especially males, in the effectiveness of establishing a strategic dialogue at the local level on the role of men as a major actor in the process of changing the patriarchal-patriarchal structure within society and contributing to achieving gender equality . In addition, this guide aims to develop the skills and tools used in the process of societal transformation, particularly in masculine behaviors, and by providing general clarifications and directions that enable trainers and facilitators to acquire skills in dealing with social and cultural issues, including the problem of masculine behaviors, gender roles, and gender-based violence. social, simplifying it for the beneficiaries through the perspective of masculinity and reconsidering its masculine perception within society . Hence, the importance of developing a training manual on positive masculine behaviors, as an effective tool for youth organizations and activities related to gender issues, by working on approaching theoretical and practical education and education, through the development of a qualitative tool to facilitate and adapt questions related to identity, gender and masculinity with the context and reality of young people in Palestine. By focusing on the most important inputs to think about male behaviors, including: education and socialization, fatherhood and family life management, sexual and emotional life, the body and reproductive health, violence and its manifestations in men . The process of training in masculinity : It is a process that includes learning the concepts and practices that define masculinity and learning the social functions that men can perform. These exercises can help raise awareness of the challenges men face and contribute to improving mental, emotional and physical health . The indirect objective of the training manual : - Enhancing a better understanding of the issue of masculinity and controlling its identity and cultural manifestations among young people, in order to reconsider the power relations between men and women in the horizon of equality and fairness . The direct objective of preparing the training manual : - Contribute to raising the capacities of the leaders and facilitators of the actors who are in charge of framing and facilitating workshops related to gender, gender roles, and in particular positive masculinity . - Enabling trainers theorists in a deeper understanding of masculine behaviors by providing theoretical and conceptual information about positive masculinity, and enabling them to develop effective and new tools for that . - Presenting a cognitive and methodological framework on positive masculinity, through which young men - males - can add meaning to their lives, reconsider their masculine identities, and reconcile with themselves for a more luxurious and healthy life and constructive relationships based on equality . - Encouraging young people - males and females - to ask questions, reconsider cultural norms and norms, analyze their personal experiences, and identify the factors that affect their decision-making process regarding their relationship with the opposite sex . Training guide methodology : To promote societal transformation at the level of positive masculine behaviors towards a more equitable gender perspective, the training manual must be based on the optimal use of workshop facilitation standards (training, organization, tracking and impact), training methodologies in gender, and any other methodologies that the developer deems important . In view of the development of knowledge and practices, it is not expected that the guide will be able to cover all areas related to masculinity. For this reason, the methodological structure for preparing the guide will focus on : - Provide a general framework through which individuals and institutions can improve the tools and strategies that will be adopted in this guide; Based on their specific contexts and needs to promote gender equality, as well as focusing on ways to continuously adapt and adapt them to local contexts, experiences and specificities . - The methodology of critical and objective thinking about gender norms and gender relations, by reconsidering masculine behavior and thinking about behavioral and educational alternatives and solutions that contribute to reducing discrimination and promoting equality between the sexes . - The methodology of individual and group thinking about the socialization of men, whether positive or negative aspects, in addition to thinking about the positive results that young people can reap from modifying a group of male behaviors . Required Experience and Skills : A minimum master's degree in sociology, human sciences, human rights, gender studies, or any related field . At least five years of experience in designing training manuals and appropriate methods for presenting information . Experience in the field of masculinity and gender equality, and a deep understanding of the challenges of men and women . Ability to plan, organize, set goals, educational goals and organize training schedules . Documented experience (five years) in the field of training and workshops related to gender issues, gender equality, gender and masculine roles . The ability to analyze and think critically to enable him to analyze and present information in a logical and appropriate manner, and to identify information that is appropriate to the content of the training manual on masculinity . The ability to formulate and simplify understanding and terminology related to the guide . Specific tasks : Determine the objectives of the training manual, provided that the objectives are measurable through tangible results .
