The organisation operates under the coordination of the National Mine Action Centre (NMAC), which is the government body in charge of the Sri Lankan Mine Action Programme and located within the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing. MAG Country Representative Office is located in Colombo while the Central Operating Base (COB) is in Vavuniya. MAG employs over 1000 demining staff, of which 24% are female deminers, who work on a 20 to 22-day full work cycle followed by a stand-down period of 7-8 days.
