The Contractor shall be responsible for the implementation of the works. This will be issued as a public tender. The project is in between E12 and Rawdat Al Reef Palace in the Abu Dhabi. Al Reef Stormwater Discharge works includes the undertaking of a hydrology study prior to the design & construction of a stormwater discharge system to be installed including the use of a pump station to drain water from a 1.4 km2 area and provide drainage through a storm water drainage pipe located beneath E12. A brief scope of work is described below: · Earth works including structural excavation, excavation for pipeline construction and filling to make up levels and backfilling. · Construction of about 41 nos. manholes, 289 nos. pipe ends/cleanouts, 136 nos. shafts and 173 nos. inspection chambers. · Construction of approximately 44,950m length of 160mm diameter uPVC perforated pipes. · Construction of approximately 840m length of 315mm diameter uPVC perforated pipes. · Construction of approximately 3,245m length of 400mm diameter GRP Solid pipes. · Construction of approximately 190m length of 500mm diameter GRP Solid pipes. · Construction of approximately 260m length of 315mm diameter HDPE pipes, using Horizontal Directional Drilling method. · Construction of 1 no. washout valve chamber and 1 no. discharge chamber on pipelines 315mm diameter inclusive of valves and connecting pipe work. · Making connection of discharge chamber with existing storm water manhole with 500mm GRP pipe. · Construction of 1 no. submersible type pumping station and MCC Room inclusive of all civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works for the successful completion of the pump station works. · Protect existing utilities including Gas pipelines, electric cables, water pipelines, MCC cables, Etisalat/DU Cables, etc. · Protect existing structures, fencing etc. during construction activities. · Reinstatement of services and / or any other items that may have been affected by the construction works. · Warranty period for one year on the civil works and for three years on the mechanical works. · Site dewatering for construction works..
