As a part of the treatment, care and support the Lifetime Support Authority engages Occupational Therapists to undertake Home Modification Assessments and Care Needs Assessments, and Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to undertake specialised Wheelchair Assessments. To date these services have been engaged on an as needed basis. The LSA is now undertaking an Expression of Interest to identify suitable Service Providers. There are three categories under this Expression of Interest: Home Modification Assessments Completion of feasibility for major modification, completion of major home modifications assessment, report writing including necessary and reasonable justifications, design recommendations and specifications based on relevant standards. Care Needs Assessments Completion of a Comprehensive Care Needs Assessment including report writing with recommendations regarding necessary and reasonable care and their relationships to the motor vehicle injuries. Wheelchair Assessments Completion of clinical assessment and recommendation for wheelchair provision including report writing including necessary and reasonable justifications, and demonstration of current evidence and equipment available. Respondents can elect to tender for Home Modification Assessments, Care Needs Assessments, and/or specialised Wheelchair Assessment services..
