Australia and New Zealand
Australia publishes federal tenders on AusTender, and every state and territory runs its own tender portal. New Zealand government agencies advertise on GETS, the Government Electronic Tender Service, which councils and school boards also use. Under the Australia and New Zealand Government Procurement Agreement, buyers treat both countries as a single market, and both are parties to the WTO Government Procurement Agreement.
Pacific island countries
In Papua New Guinea, public procurement is overseen by the National Procurement Commission. Ministries in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Kiribati and Tuvalu issue tenders for public works, education, fisheries and other needs, often for donor-funded programmes. The Asian Development Bank works with these countries as Pacific developing members, and the Pacific Community (SPC) publishes its own tenders for goods and services.
Territories and languages
French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna are French collectivities where French is the official language. Guam and American Samoa are United States territories, Tokelau is a dependent territory of New Zealand, and the Cook Islands are self-governing in free association with New Zealand. Most other notices are in English, and Vanuatu also uses French. Tender Impulse subscribers can request translation of French tender details at no extra cost.
Staying informed
Because island notices come from many separate buyers, daily alerts built from keywords and CPV codes help each new notice reach the inbox, and bid documents are available on request. A free live demo shows how Pacific notices look.
