The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) was established in 2003 by the Heads of State and Government of the African Union with the primary purpose of promoting practices that promote political stability, economic growth high, sustainable and inclusive development, as well as accelerated sub-regional and continental economic integration. The mission of the APRM is to fill the gaps observed in the processes of governance and socio-economic development within the member countries of the African Union. APRM participating countries undergo a comprehensive review process, including consultations with governments, the private sector, civil society and other stakeholders. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in charge of the Diaspora and the Francophonie, is the supervisory body for the implementation of the APRM process at the national level. Technical research institutions shall, inter alia, ensure that: APRM self-assessment reports and other research conducted so far are complemented by tools such as the APRM questionnaire, and that these tools are fully understood by stakeholders when developing the country self-assessment report using research methods that include stakeholder validation. The TRIs support the preparation by the country concerned of a self-assessment report that is objective, precise and representative of public opinion. 5. Qualifications and experience of the ITR The below qualifications and experience are required. The RTID must: To.
