Tenders are invited for Support for Consultation and Communication Campaigns of Veterinary Services to Consolidate the Position of Veterinary Paraprofessionals (Ppv) Since the launch of the P3V project, OMSA has provided its expertise and know-how to support pilot countries in upgrading the regulatory framework and the control framework through its Veterinary Legislation Support Program(PALV). In order to achieve a good understanding of the role and responsibilities of the actors in the network of animal health professionals, namely veterinarians, VPPs and community animal health workers (ACSA), the P3V project carried out, in the framework of C1, a veterinary legislation identification mission (MILV) to Togo in 2021. Based on the recommendations made by the mission, Togo requested in December 2021, the support of OMSA for an agreement for bringing its veterinary legislation into line with OMSA standards. This agreement is being prepared by the team of experts appointed by OMSA and the Veterinary Services of Togo. In Senegal, OMSA has also implemented since January 2022, an agreement on veterinary legislation for a period of one year and whose objective was to support Senegal in finalizing the draft Veterinary Public Health Code. . The draft Veterinary Public Health Code addresses, among other things, in one of its chapters, the veterinary professions and the practice of veterinary medicine, while also taking into account veterinarians, VPPs and ACSAs. The objective of this call for tenders is to select a service provider to support the P3V project and achieve the following objectives: Objective 1: Support for consultation and consultation with stakeholders · Support the VS to develop a sustainable consultation framework between the public VS, veterinarians and private VPPs, ACSA [livestock assistants (AE)/veterinary animal husbandry assistants (AVE)] and breeders; · Plan and carry out consultation activities with breeders, women and men, including young people, around issues relating to the supply and demand for services (in animal health and production) from VPPs. Objective 2: Support for VS awareness and communication campaigns to consolidate the position of VPPs within the network of animal health professionals · Accompany the P3V project and the VS to develop a simple plan for communication and exchange of experience on the updated veterinary regulatory framework; · Strengthen the visibility of VPP services through communication actions with breeders; · Improve the knowledge of actors in the network of animal health professionals and particularly VPPs on good practices for the use of veterinary drugs.
