The market town of Bruckmühl is located in the Mangfalltal in the Rosenheim district, approx. 18 km west of Rosenheim. The municipal area extends to approx. 50 km². On July 26, 2021 Flooding occurred in the districts of the Bruckmühl municipality south of the Mangfall through combinations of flash floods and wildly flowing slope water from the Irschenberger Leite area.
