The project has the following main expected outcomes: • Improved use of knowledge on aquatic biodiversity of inland waters for policy and planning through improved capacity at national and local levels and improved multi-ministry/agency communication and collaboration, contributing to improved biodiversity status of two inland fish species • Improved livelihoods from capture fisheries and capacity for conservation and market access for eel fisheries enhanced. • Capacity to assess and monitor inland aquatic biodiversity improved at national and local levels..
