The scope of services for this consultancy will be contracted in a phased approach. Phase 1 will be implemented immediately, while Phase 2 implementation will be dependent upon funding. Firms are requested to bid for both Phase 1 and 2, clearly costing each phase separately. Phase 1; May 2023 In close collaboration with AGRA country teams, Dealroom partners, and the Strategic Partnerships team, the firm will carry out the following activities: 1. Screening. Screen and segment SME applications to select 150 companies for the Dealroom 2023 support. The 80 companies will target particularly women and youth. 2. Due diligence. Run desk pre-due diligence checks of portfolio companies (80 agSMEs). 3. SME investor readiness. Structured and customized support depending on the stage of development of the SMEs, that enhances SME investor readiness. Support varies from broad cohort based trainings to individual tailor made support for more sophisticated SMEs, pitch preparation and investor engagement capacity building program targeting 80 SMEs. 4. Investor mobilization. Mobilize a critical mass of domestic and foreign investors for private investment opportunities. 5. Investor relationship management. Formally on-board at least 20 new investors, combination of national Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), commercial financial institutions and non-bank financial institutions and equity and venture capital investors. 6. Matchmaking: 1. Filter opportunities presented at the Dealroom that align to different investor needs and proactively facilitate investor SME matchmaking, connections, and meetings for portfolio companies. 2. Design innovative approaches to increasing visibility and interaction of Dealroom SMEs with investors. 7. Pipeline development – capacity. Deliver wholesale SME investment readiness program to build the capacity of 800 companies, targeting particularly women and youth.. The last date to submit your bid for this tender was 11 May 2023.
