Request for proposals are invited for Supply, Delivery and Installation of 16 Water Tanks in 8 Schools, South Tarawa. Project Background; The project will support the Government of Kiribati to achieve its national development targets and international commitment by helping to develop a climate resilient, income generating agriculture sector that is backstopped by green technology solutions and which is accessible and inclusive to all i-Kiribati, through development of awareness raising and training materials in English and i-Kiribati to increase agricultural productivity for target groups. The project will introduce agriculture and health awareness raising initiatives to 20 school as part of extra-curricular activities; support training on agriculture and business skills development for 100 women and youth; and support 55 SMEs on climate smart agriculture practices and green entrepreneurship training and mentoring and provision of climate-smart agriculture technologies, its operations and maintenance. The overall objective of the project is to enhance adaptive capacity, strengthening resilience and reducing vulnerability to climate change of Kiribati island communities through a technology, education and capacity building and livelihoods development program for the agriculture sector.
