The project is expected to facilitate for the digitization and automation of operations of tax and customs authorities and other government bodies to improve public resource mobilization and management. It is also expected to promote effectiveness, efficiency and transparency in service delivery. The project is funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB). The component for Liberia is being executed by the ECOWAS Commission who have contracted project management to Linpico Sarl. The DigiGov Project in Liberia is expected to contribute to Improved revenue collection as Person – to – Government (P2G) and Government – to – Person (G2P) transactions especially through mobile money transactions will encourage compliance as they are less expensive, more transparent and more convenient compared to cash transactions; ii. Improved service delivery as P2G transactions will remove the complicated processes and procedures that require Persons’ physical presence at the government offices and banks; iii. Financial inclusion and formalization of SMEs as business operators will be encouraged to register their business to benefit from advantages accruing from P2G transactions and in some instances from G2P..
