Tenders are invited for Consultancy Services to Deliver the Academic Services under the East Africa’s Regional Centre of Excellence for Biomedical Engineering and E-Health (CEBE): Courses in Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences Location: Kigali Deadline: Friday, 07/07/2023 17:00 The objective of this assignment is to develop training material and deliver a 200-hour module of Legislation and Policy Frameworks in Assistive Technology for the Master of science training in Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences. Requirements : Demonstrate experience of legislation and policy frameworks in assistive technology or related fields with at least 1-year work experience in a relevant field or masters in legislation and policy frameworks in assistive technology or related field. Education background at PhD or masters with at least 3 years’ experience, in the field related the module to be taught. Previous experience working in Rwanda (or similar context) highly desirable. Cultural sensitivity and strong inter-personal skills essential. Demonstrated facilitation and training skills required. Management, planning, coordination, organization, and facilitation skills Flexibility and available to teach the module during the months of July/August 2023, complete the duration of the assignment. Spoken and written fluency in English is a requirement. Flexibility, tenacity, and results-oriented approach essential for success. Experience of working in low resources settings. The consulting must offer the following expected outcomes: Competent learning materials consistent with the needs of rehabilitation sciences and medical practice in Rwanda and the region. Developed adaptive graduates in Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences with knowledge of utilizing acquired skills to promote the Rehabilitation. A report on student performance and suggestion for improvement. Developed Graduates with adequate knowledge, capability, and competencies of applying acquired skills to lead meaningful research to solve the problems specifically at the Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences. The graduate’s outcomes meeting the requirements designed in the program learning outcomes. Training materials consistent with international standards within multi-disciplinary rehabilitation and Mobility sciences. Developed local and regional students with a knowledge and thought of pre-curriculum research capability using acquired theoretical framework. The consultant is expected to undertake the following tasks based on the CEBE approved objectives and content of the modules: Design teaching materials for the Legislation and Policy Frameworks in Assistive Technology, module; Deliver Legislation and Policy Frameworks in Assistive Technology module in the Master’s program of Rehabilitation and mobility sciences in collaboration with University of Rwanda academic staff.
