The City of Essen - JobCenter Essen in Germany from Europe region had released this tender for Coaching plus With Coaching Plus the focus is on providing young people with more goal-oriented support through individual coaching Otherwise small group offers are available in which the main aim is to highlight the strengths of young people in order to achieve direct integration into the first job market regardless of their obstacles which should not be the focus The MAT should focus on the young people and their individuality and their tailored support The measure is carried out part-time and includes 20 hours per week As a rule the participants are present on site for 4 hours a day The assignment is generally for 6 months In particularly justified individual cases the individual period of participation can be extended by three months by the recipient if this is necessary to achieve the objective The focus should not be on young people s barriers to placement but rather on the achievable future prospects The young people should be supported in their strengths so that they can be integrated into the labor market This does not mean that all problems should be ignored but rather that the current situation is discussed with the young people and placement in the world of work is made possible despite obstacles The focus here should be on the current goal of the participant getting a job and not on a far-reaching goal e g better school leaving certificate which is not desired or possible at the moment and only then starting a job The measure consists of a preparation and an integration phase and is intended to conclude with integration into the primary labor market The integration phase also includes operational testing internship phase which can usually last up to 6 weeks Individual coaching also takes place here The coaching takes place in four small groups with approx 10 participants each plus individual coaching per participant once a week for up to one hour Individual coaching is offered in both phases of the measure In the new application period participants with language skills A2 should also be able to be assigned However this should not be the main target group but rather include a small group approx 10 participants These participants should be offered extra content to better acquire language skills and suitable individual coaching for placement in the job market A basic understanding is possible with the participant The project pursues the sub-goals - Support in career orientation and career planning taking into account professional suitability and ability to work - Strengthening professional and social skills contact and conflict behavior ability to integrate in the group etc - Strengthening personal and professional resilience learning elementary basic work skills endurance punctuality care accuracy ability to concentrate attention time management etc - Strengthening cognitive abilities perception thinking ability logical reasoning ability judgment memory etc - Promoting self-responsibility self-management and realistic self-assessment reducing overestimation of oneself and fear of failure - Creation of a standard application folder including application and communication training - Preparation of an interdisciplinary final report with a concrete perspective if the transition to the labor market was not possible - Improving everyday language and vocabulary for apprenticeships with tender notice no. 34348/FB56/01-2026 published on 21 Nov 2025.
