This project is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 is to undertake a drop-in engagement with local residents, businesses, local hapu and school to understand the traffic safety, access and placemaking issues in and around the study area. This will inform the ONF process. Stage 2 applies the ONF process and will involve collating background transport information, holding a multi-disciplinary workshop to assess the future state for the area and the role of different modes. The critical intersection / roundabout in the area will require a level of engineering analysis to understand what treatments may be required. The ONF process and the Waka Kotahi guidance for urban streets will provide the basis for recommending the types of intervention that are required to address the community issues and the needs of the street. The outputs will be a report on the engagement feedback and resultant issues themes and a report on the ONF assessment, with recommendations and supporting maps and graphics..
