Tthe Consultant's core duties will include but not limited to: • Reviewing performance of protection schemes and under-frequency load-shedding schemes on the SAPP interconnected power system based on typical events affecting ZESA. • Identifying triggers of power oscillations, review power system response to power oscillations, and recommend mitigation measures to preserve the integrity of the ZESA grid. • Reviewing performance of over-frequency protection schemes on the SAPP IPS affecting ZESA. • Carrying out necessary power system studies to aid analysis of performance of protection systems on the SAPP IPS interconnections affecting ZESA. • Recommending optimum protection schemes on SAPP interconnections and harmonised settings to preserve the integrity of the ZESA grid under credible contingencies..
