The Consultant’s core duties will include but not limited to: a) Site Assessment of the eight proposed sites for suitability of the establishment of wind farms; b) Designing an appropriate technology for measuring wind at a height of 80 - 100m at each proposed site; c) Installation of an appropriate technology for data collection for at least 12 months and analysis of wind energy potential to ascertain power that could be generated at each site; d) Prioritisation of the sites in terms of the potential to generate power; e) Detailed feasibility studies on the potential sites including any grid reinforcement that will be needed to connect the plant to the grid; f) Carrying out ESIA studies conforming to AfDB standards; and g) Capacity Building.
