Right now Tender Impulse lists 5 open tenders from Central Asia.
National procurement systems
Kazakhstan publishes government tenders on goszakup.gov.kz, part of the unified platform zakup.gov.kz, and national companies such as Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Kazakhtelecom and KEGOC run extensive procurement programmes of their own. Kyrgyzstan uses zakupki.gov.kg, where ministries, state enterprises and ayil okmotus publish. Uzbekistan runs procurement through several licensed electronic platforms, including systems operated by commodity exchanges. In Turkmenistan, state concerns such as Turkmennebit run tender commissions for oil projects.
Development bank financing
Development banks finance many internationally advertised projects in the region. The EBRD counts all five countries in its Central Asia region, and most opportunities under its projects are posted on the EBRD Client e-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). The Asian Development Bank is secretariat of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program, whose members include all five states. In Tajikistan, many international tenders are linked to energy, irrigation and agriculture projects.
Languages and support
Notices are mostly in Russian alongside Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Tajik or Turkmen, while donor-funded tenders are often in English. Tender Impulse subscribers can request translation of tender details at no extra cost and obtain bid documents, and a key account manager can explain which platform a tender runs on.
