The system must support remote access, but it must also be capable of fully autonomous operation without network connectivity in field conditions. The system must include the antenna with mounting structures, necessary cabling, and a processing unit. The system must be quick to deploy and install by two persons, and its design must support easy portability and redeployment. The procurement is co-funded by the Council of Oulu Region, European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Dronelogistics Service Point project (A81394). The procurement is dependent on an extension of the implementation period granted for the project. The procurement contract will be signed with the selected supplier if the funder grants the extension. The decision on the extension is expected in June 2026. The possession, import, and use of devices intended for radio interference require a radio license granted in advance by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom).
