Key objectives of the desgin and construction of the skate park include: provide a satellite skate facility with the ability to host events, competitions or demonstrations. respond to the needs of key stakeholder groups including skate park user groups cater for shared use between skateboard, BMX, scooter and inline skate users complement and integrate with surrounding features and facilities provide a safe and challenging facility for users of all ages and of a beginner to intermediate skill level consider integration with adjacent facilities including car parking (by others), future toilet and future regional play space incorporate stormwater management design and implement appropriate lighting of the skate facility incorporate Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles consider a design that minimises on-going maintenance. For the purposes of this project, the design and construction of the Aldinga Skate Park including lighting has a total budget of $1,000,000. The successful tenderer will provide a proposal that meets all mandatory criteria and suitably addresses the defined qualitative assessment criteria.
