Richmond Street, Water Street, Frederick Street and Hayward Street are currently un-sealed residential streets within Quorn, as part of councils 2023/24 Capital Works programmed they have been identiifed for upgrade. The upgrade will include removal of existing pavement layer and replaced with identiifed local material, installation of kerb and water table, double coat 14/7 seal to all roads, and a layer of crusherdust to the verge between property boundary and back of kerb.
The design has included stormwater infrastcutrue to be installed, this will form part of the pricing schedule but may be removed from the final contract if deemed suitable and onsite works can achieve other drainage methods.
Council envisages the use of local rubble pit material for pavement layers.
Following the closing date of this tender, council will undertake an assessment process to select the most suitbale applicant to undertake the works.
Council also has an additional piece of work seperate to this tender which if deemed suitable, may engage the succesful contractor to undertake as part of this contract. It will be further installation of kerbing, parking, sealing and paving. A formal design has not been completed at this point.
