This program seeks to place personally issued mobile end computing devices in the hands of every SA police officer and employee to achieve a true work from anywhere capability. The key requirements include: Procurement of a device connectivity solution that provides the ability to connect mobile devices (primarily mobile phones) to existing SAPOL systems Procurement of a Mobile Integration Storage solution for retention of mobile device data and media Procurement of storage solution for virtualisation of user profile data Procurement of a virtualisation solution to allow all SAPOL employees to have full desktop capabilities including non-native applications to be used on a Mobile Device Maintenance, support and training for the Mobile Integration solution Integration services that will bring together capabilities from this procurement and the related Mobile Workforce Program – Devices and Peripherals procurement to create an implementation-ready end-to-end solution..
