The LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (LGED) in Bangladesh from Asian region had released this tender for Expression of Interest are invited for Contracts for Consultancy Services of Economic Feasibility Study of Bridges under Dhaka, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet Divisions under Feasibility Study for Important Bridge Construction on Rural Roads Project (2nd Phase). Consulting Firm (National)  (Time-Based) Title Of Service: Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) (National) Brief Description of Assignment: The Contracts for Consultancy Services of Economic Feasibility Study of Bridges under Dhaka, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet Divisions under Feasibility Study for Important Bridge Construction on Rural Roads Project (2nd Phase). The objective of this assignment is to assist Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) to assess economic viability of one hundred bridges of more than one hundred meter in length under different districts of the said divisions. The study will find out the social and economic parameters of the bridges to be constructed from economic and environmental perspectives. The study will also guide LGED and prepare necessary documentation ensuring compliance with the policies/guidelines/rules of the Government of Bangladesh (GOB). Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required: The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites eligible Consulting Firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interests in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short-listing criteria are: a) Registration of the firm. b) Age of the firm (years in relevant business). c) Experience of the firm in similar tasks/assignments (Past experience must be of similar nature and/or complexity including cost and duration of the assignment and must be supported by the documentary proof). d) Experience of the firm in other works (Other experience including cost and duration of the assignment and should be supported by the documentary proof). e) Financial resources of the consultant (Turnover of last five years) f) Availability of key professionals. g) Managerial Strength of the firm (office space, support staff, Logistics, equipment etc.). Other Details (if applicable): Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, and, if association, should mention whether the association is in the form of “joint venture” or “sub-consultancy”. It is preferable to limit the total number of firms in an association including the Lead Firm to 02 (Two). A consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Fixed Budget Selection (FBS) method as per PPA-2006 and PPR-2008. Minimum 02 (Two) copies of documents (EOI) should be delivered to the address below in sealed envelope on or before 12 June 2023 during office hours and should be marked as “Expression of Interest (EOI) for Economic Feasibility Study (Package No. FS/22-23/EFS-I).
