Eligibility of Tenderer: Contractual experience: If Bidder is represented by the “Supplier”, the Bidder must demonstrate; (i) Overall experience of 5 (five) years in the supply of railway equipment and related services. (ii) Successful completion as main supplier to supply of railway equipment and related services for $60 million within the last 15 years, comprising of at least one contract valued at minimum $20 million and not more than four contracts valued combined at minimum $ 15 million. Years will count backward from the date of publication of IFB.
Technical experience: The Bidder shall demonstrate that it has; (i) A minimum of 10 (ten) years of overall experience in manufacturing Railway Passenger Carriages.(ii) Specific experience of manufacturing minimum 800 (Eight hundred) Railway Passenger Carriages, EMU, DEMU including minimum 50 (fifty) nos. stainless steel type and related services. The manufacturer shall also have experience of export 200 (two hundred) nos. Railway Passenger Carriages, EMU, DEMU and related services to foreign Railways in the last 10 (Ten) Years.
Production Capacity: A minimum production capacity of manufacturing 100 (one hundred) Passenger Carriages per year.
Brief Description of Goods or Works: Procurement of 200 BG Passenger Carriages with stainless steel body including drawing, parts catalogue, capital & maintenance spares, de-processing and commissioning etc.
Brief Description of Related Services: i) Training of Bangladesh Railway Engineers,
ii) Study Tour for Concerning Officers of Related Department.
iii) Services of Service Engineer
