The RURAL ELECTRIFICATION BOARD (REB) in Bangladesh from Asian region had released this tender for Expression of Interest are invited for Selection of consulting Firms for Survey, Design, Staking & Construction Supervision of Electrical Lines and Sub-stations of Modernization and Capacity Enhancement of BREB Network (Barishal Division) Consulting Firm (National)  (Lump-Sump) Title Of Service: Selection of consulting Firms for Survey, Design, Staking & Construction Supervision of Electrical Lines and Sub-stations of Modernization and Capacity Enhancement of BREB Network (Barishal Division) Brief Description of Assignment: The approved project entitled “Modernization and Capacity Enhancement of BREB Network (Barishal Division)” funded by Own Fund of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB). The main objectives of the project: 1) To upgrade and enhance 260 MVA capacity of rural electrical distribution network to meet-up increasing demand. 2) Access an un-interruptible, reliable, affordable & efficient power supply to 1.6 million (At present around 2.3 million) connected consumers for achieving the reliability & sustainability of the distribution system within 2025 of Barishal Division. 3) The Reduction of system loss from 13.50% to 10%, SAIDI from 1313 minutes/consumer to 965 minutes/ consumer and SAIFI from 40/consumer to 30/consumer of Barishal division. Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required: 1. The Consulting Firms should have at least 05 years experience in Electrical Consulting services of distribution system and have a full-fledged staff set-up that will be capable of doing the work. 2. The firm must have financial capability to handle the services of the similar activities and yearly turn over is at least 25 lacs in last 05 (Five) years. 3. The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) now invites expression of Interest (EOI) from eligible Consulting firm/ consortium (National) for above mentioned 06 Packages under “Modernization and Capacity Enhancement of BREB Network (Barishal Division)” Project to indicate their interests in providing the services. The following criteria will be followed for shortlisting. a) Establishment of the firm b) Qualification of the firm (Overall experience) c) Availability of the key staff d) Physical resources e) Experience in power distribution system f) Specific experience Other Details (if applicable): The expression of interest (EOI) of each Package must be submitted separately in three sets (one original set and two sets of photocopy) in hard copy on or before the specified date & time to the office of undersigned, and be clearly marked “Request for expressions of Interest” (EOI) mentioning the name of the Package & PBS’s. The proposals (applications) will be opened on 15/05/2023 at 3:00 PM Bangladesh local time in presence of the representatives of the EOI applicant (if any). The firm will be short-listed in accordance with the "Public Procurement Regulation (PPR)-2008.
