While Ifc Undertook a Detailed Assessment on the Potential for Affordable Housing Finance in 2019; There is Limited Information Available on the Existing Landscape; Financing Needs and Challenges for the Supply of Affordable Housing and Green Housing Units. Hence; There a Need to Assess the Existing Operational and Financial Models of the Builders and Developers; As Well as the Legal and Regulatory Environment Which Governs the Supply. The Purpose of this Diagnostic is:1.to Comprehend the Existing Business; Operational and Financing Models Currently in Practice by Different Segments of Builder/Developers in the Urban Areas; And the Challenges and Limitations They Encounter to Supply Affordable Housing and Green Housing in the Country.2.Assess the Legal; Regulatory and Taxation Environment Which Governs the Supply of Affordable Housing Units and Green Housing Units in the Country and Identify Gaps that Needs to be Addressed through Policy Reforms by the Government to Support the Development of the Sector.3.Identify Market Size and Financing Gap and Capacity Building Needs of the Builders/Developers; Where Ifc can Support through Investment and Advisory Services.
