Technical subject matter: The EUROCONTROL's Network Manager directorate is ISO 9001. The ISO
9001-2015 certificate expires on 18 January 2023 and must be renewed. The renewal of the NMD's ISO certification is accompanied by a three-year cycle of surveillance visits.
Maintaining the ISO certificate is of strategic importance for the Network Manager, both in terms of the Agency's image vis-à-vis our stakeholders and the European Commission. It is also an essential element for the renewal of the Agency's appointment as European Network Manager - end of Reference Period 4. As well as by application of the European regulations in force, which state that ISO 9001 certification by an accredited certification body is recognised by EASA and exempts the network operator from the obligation of surveillance, but simply requires NMD to submit the requested documentation ((i.e. COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2017/373 of 1 March 2017 laying down common requirements for providers of air traffic management/air navigation services and other air traffic management network functions and their oversight).
The objectif of this Call fr tenders is to select an inspection body to conduct the certification renewal, thus to recertify the Network Management Directorate under the criteria of the ISO9001:2015 Standard.
