Consultancy ObjectivesA consultancy firm will be hired to support both Gran activities by carrying out a participatory and gender-sensitive local safety audit. The analysis will inform the development of all infra-structure and social interventions to be implemented in Porto Alegre center district. Specifically, the analysis will: (i) provide a detailed, participatory and gender sensitive diagnostic of the security context in the main area of intervention of the project and (ii) offer specific recommendations to address the main identified gaps and promote sustainable peace, engagement and resilience, and to inform the Project’s intended place-based approaches. These recommendations must be delivered in a way that they can be further included (as guidance / recommendations) as part of ToRs and bidding documents for the QII (activity 2), and for the further development of detailed engineering designs and infrastructure works of Centro+4D.Beyond encouraging informed physical environmental changes and social interventions, the gender sensitive local safety audit aims to empower women and other vulnerable groups to participate in local decision-making planning and strengthen social cohesion.
The WBG reserves the right to publicly disclose contract award information, including but not limited to, name of company receiving the award, brief description of services, and contract award amount, for any contract award valued over US$250,000.
