The IKH in Bulgaria from Europe region has released this tender for The subject of the order includes the following main activities: 1. Design in the Technical Design phase; 2. Execution of construction and installation works, including all activities specified in all parts of the developed Technical Design; 3. Implementation of technical supervision during construction. During the development and execution of the project solution, the following activities should be considered: - Cutting asphalt pavement with a screed; - Mechanized excavation in soil-rock soils, including removal of spoil; - Laying and compacting of road base from crushed stone fraction 0-75mm with a thickness of 25cm; - Laying of an asphalt layer of open-graded asphalt concrete (mix) with a thickness of 5cm in compacted condition; - Laying of an asphalt layer of dense-graded asphalt concrete with a thickness of 4cm in compacted condition; - Laying of the first bituminous layer; - Laying of the second bituminous layer; - Delivery and installation of road curb 50/25/15 on concrete base - class V15 and all related costs. In the area of garages, pedestrian paths, and intersections, the concrete curbs should be lowered; - Demolition of road signs; - Installation of new standard road signs with reflective film; - Delivery and laying of horizontal marking with white paint with pearlescent effect; - Temporary traffic organization, as well as all necessary requirements, in accordance with the agreement with the R DVR-PD (KAT) authorities. Current situation The goal of the project is to restore and improve the transport-experimental qualities and load-bearing capacity of the pavement, ensuring safe traffic conditions and proper drainage of streets. The asphalt pavement in the considered areas is in a heavily used condition due to the previously carried out reconstruction of the internal water supply network. The remaining asphalt layer is cracked with numerous unacceptable deformations and damages. In some places, the crushed stone base is exposed, on which the asphalt layers have been placed. After the water supply pipe replacement, the backfill of the rock material has settled and obstructs pedestrian and vehicle movement. Pedestrian paths in populated areas will not be constructed. Existing longitudinal and transverse slopes are variable. Traffic organization on streets has deteriorated safety due to the poor condition of the pavement. Horizontal marking is missing, and the existing vertical signaling requires adjustment to standards. The scope of activities includes reconstruction of street pavements with an average width of 5 m.
