Expansion and reconstruction (reconstruction, installation and extension of the existing building with identifier 68134.405.114.1 at the National Artistic Academy – ETA P II)

The NATIONAL ART ACADEMY in Bulgaria from Europe region has released this tender for Subject of this procurement is the execution of construction repair and installation works – for expansion and reconstruction (renovation, extension and superstructure of the existing building with identifier 68134.405.114.1 at the National Art Academy – Stage II. The project will be implemented under the supervision of an archaeologist, in accordance with the contract with RIM Sofia. The existing condition according to the technical project for the Second Stage of Expansion and Reconstruction of the National Art Academy. The Northern wing with area of 6331.7 m2 will be renovated, preserving the load-bearing walls and the main functional distribution of the main building, while an additional axis will be added to the existing building – extension from ul. "Oborishche" and a new vertical communication connection will be built from the south through a stairwell shaft and elevator. The existing building levels and new volumes in Stage I and II have slight deviations from the terrain level, so the differences in elevation will be leveled through stairs and platforms in accordance with Order No. RD-02-20-2 of 2021 for determining accessibility and universal design requirements for elements of accessible environment in urban territory and buildings and structures. The main stairwell will be preserved, but due to its architectural value, it will be taken out of operation and designated as a closed exhibition space. Immediately next to it, a new central entrance with vertical communication (stairwell shaft and elevator) will be built. Access from terrain level to level ±0.00 is ensured through steps and a platform for people in uneven terrain. The existing building between axes 7 and 9 will be rebuilt and a new volume from axis 9 to 10 from ul. "Oborishche" will be added to it. It will be built in the style of Stage I of the reconstruction and expansion project of the National Art Academy. On each floor, there will be workshops, offices and restrooms, and on the ground floor and in the basement – a dining hall and kitchen for the establishment, and a workroom. A new stairwell shaft and elevator will be designated. The project includes preservation and reinforcement of the existing facade walls of the building, replacement of internal walls with new partition walls at the same location and reinforced concrete load-bearing elements, replacement of existing slabs using the same metal beams, raising two new levels: level +13.20 and level +16.50, in order to improve the current structural condition and functional integration of architectural volumes. The Northern wing building will be linked with Stage I implementation, but is designed to function independently within the architectural and urban planning solution of the Academy as per Article 152 of the Urban Planning Code. All architectural solutions aim to create a visual rhythm between existing and project architectural volumes on the Academys territory. Access to the Stage II building is provided through one main entrance for all students, teachers and visitors (newly built extension), a service entrance for the Academys management and teachers to the inner courtyard, a separate entrance to the restaurant, and access to Stage I. with tender notice no. 710627-2026 published on 14 Oct 2026.
