Datacenter and Onsite Backup/Recovery Upgrade

The Newell County in Canada from Americas region had released this tender for The County of Newell is seeking proposals from qualified Respondents that propose a converged infrastructure solution intended to replace all current data center servers and storage array as well as an onsite backup/recovery solution. The solution must provide the following requirements and objectives: • Provide a fully integrated converged datacenter infrastructure • Provide a secondary onsite hardware for data recovery (replication, backup, and recovery) • Equipment must provide high availability and redundancy • Provide high level of security and encryption • Provide fault tolerance and health monitoring capabilities • Improve operational efficiencies by reducing the amount of effort to apply updates, creating new VM’s, provisioning resources, and system maintenance and performance optimization tasks. • Ability to be expanded for future growth • Compatibility with VMware ESXi v6.x operating systems (if the solution provides its own hypervisor platform explain in detail the benefits compared to the County’s existing hypervisor.) • Compatibility with the Veeam backup application • The system must not enter its End of Life (EOL) within five (5) years from implementation date and must have support available up to seven (7) years from implementation date • Ensure reliability, stability, compatibility, performance, and efficiencies by obtaining the best overall value for the County on its purchase new datacenter equipment • Single vendor support with tender notice no.
