IFC finances private sector investments; mobilize capital in the international financial markets; helps clients improve social and environmental sustainability; and provides technical assistance and advice to governments and businesses in the developing world.FCS Africa hosts the Africa Fragility Initiative (AFI); a 5-year advisory/upstream initiative to support the growth and development of private sector development (PSD) across 32 fragile African countries. AFI aims to enable more private sector investments in markets where the cost of doing business is high and where numerous operational challenges today inhibit private sector activity and is intended to support IFC in achieving its Capital Increase commitments in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations (FCS).AFI is prospecting the expansion in Republic of Congo (and other countries in the sub-region) of the IFC Local Champions Initiative (“LCI”) aimed at providing technical assistance to enhance the investment readiness of local sponsors operating (FCS) countries. These efforts aim at supporting the implementation of IFC country strategy in Republic of Congo.With the joint objective to source opportunities in the country to strengthen IFC pipeline and identify potential candidates for the upcoming phase of the Local Champion Initiative; IFC is seeking to recruit a consulting firm that will work closely with the AFI; MAS and the Country Office (CO) teams to help source and assess the viability of potential opportunities in Republic of Congo starting with priority sectors identified in the Country Strategy.B. with tender notice no. 0002001810 published on 28 Jul 2023.
