Provision of Construction Services Works will be determined, on an "as and when required" basis to satisfy surge requirements of MONUSCO. All works are to be carried out by the contractor in compliance with relevant international standards and as specified. The quantity of works to be carried out is not guaranteed, but subject to a maximum value.. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall be responsible to provide construction service works in the indicated location and its AOR as and when required by MONUSCO. In this regard it should be noted that the contract shall be Task Order based. The required works includes of all soft and hard wall building for office, living, and recreational accommodation along with the support infrastructure such as ablutions and showers. The service shall also include construction and maintenance of utility service line from the main distribution point to the buildings. Individual Task Orders shall be issued for each location of work, having one or more of the work items described in the attached Annex E - Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and relevant drawings. MONUSCO’s Point(s) of Contact (PoC) shall issue a Task Order to the contractor detailing the works to be carried out. The scope and timeline of the works will be specified in writing by MONUSCO’s PoC. The PoC will be communicated to the contractor at the kick-off meeting that will be held immediately after the contract takes effect. MONUSCO will provide all required construction materials, supplies and accessories and HVAC, Electrical and plumbing spare part, supplies and consumables. In the case of misappropriation or mismanagement of MONUSCO-furnished materials/spare parts/ supplies the contractor shall replace the materials at its own cost or cost of material shall be recovered from the contractor’s invoice of the month at the MONUSCO purchase cost of the materials. Transportation of Contractor’s Personnel and Supplies MONUSCO may, at its sole discretion, to the extent practical and on a space available basis, (i) allow the Contractor's personnel and their personal effects to travel on UN provided transportation within the Mission area and (ii) transport the Contractor's supplies and other equipment necessary for the sustenance of the Contractor's personnel in the performance of the Contract on a cost-recovery basis plus a 14% administrative fee. Prior to being permitted to travel on any MONUSCO-provided transportation, each of Contractor's personnel shall complete and sign a form releasing the UN from any and all liability related to the MONUSCO-provided transportation. The Contractor shall deliver each original, signed release form to the Mission prior to personnel's use of any MONUSCO-provided transportation. No employee of the Contractor shall be permitted to travel by MONUSCO-provided transport unless and until MONUSCO has received a completed and signed liability release form. MONUSCO will provide transportation for the Contractor’s personnel to the extended camps to perform the services in the extended camps at no cost to the contractor. 4.Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid. 5.MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the Invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities.
