Modernization of the Komín depot – selection of a contractor

The Brno City Transport Company, Inc. in Czech Republic from Europe region has released this tender for The subject of the public contract is the modernization of the Komín depot, including the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of new operational and technological units. The implementation of the public contract will take place during partial operation of the depot. In the initial phase of performance, the selected contractor will prepare the documentation and other documents necessary for the removal of existing buildings, including the demolition survey, and will ensure the relevant engineering activities required for the commencement of demolition work. After the conditions necessary for their implementation are met, the demolition of existing buildings will subsequently commence. In parallel with the processing of the demolition documents and the implementation of demolition work, the selected contractor will prepare the project documentation for the new building and perform related engineering activities. The commencement and implementation of demolition work will therefore not be conditioned by the completion of the project documentation for the new building in its entirety. The subsequent part of the subject of the public contract includes the construction of new operational and technological units and the revitalization of the existing infrastructure of the area. The modernization includes, in particular, the construction of a parking facility for trolleybuses, including related operational, technical and administrative facilities for employees and apartments for employees, as well as a parking lot for passenger cars, as well as the construction of a maintenance and repair hall including, among others, a trolleybus wash, a daily maintenance and cleaning workplace, diagnostic workplaces and maintenance operations, a central waste management facility, an energy center with a converter station, and other related construction and engineering facilities. The subject of the public contract also includes the construction of a new fire station JSDH Brno-Komín, the modification of the area entrances and traffic connections to Jundrovská and Podveská streets, and the construction of a backup exit. The modernization aims in particular to increase the capacity of the depot, increase the operational efficiency of the area, and create a modern facility for parking, maintenance, repairs, and administration of trolleybuses. The result of the tender procedure is the conclusion of a contract for works in accordance with the Contractual Conditions for the Supply of Technological Equipment and Design-Construction of Electrical and Mechanical Technological Works and Building and Civil Engineering Structures Designed by the Contractor, the so-called FIDIC YELLOW BOOK, 1st edition, 1999, published in Czech translation by the Czech Association of Consulting Engineers (CACE) in 2015, and other documents forming a contract for works. The contracting authority expects to implement the subject of the public contract within the framework of a project co-financed from the Operational Programme Transport 2021-2027. The selected supplier is obliged to proceed in such a way that the stated intention of the contracting authority can be fulfilled.
