TERRITORIAL STUDY OF THE SETTLED GREEN SYSTEM – STORMWATER MANAGEMENT CONCEPT FOR URBAN GREEN AND PUBLIC SPACES OF THE CITY OF KARLOVY VARY

The Statutory city of Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic from Europe region has released this tender for The subject of the public contract is the preparation of the Concept of Rainwater Management for Urban Greenery and Public Spaces of the City of Karlovy Vary (hereinafter referred to as the "Concept") with regard to the specifics of the spa site (protection zones of natural healing resources). The Concept will be based on the principles of rainwater management while respecting state and European legislation and current national technical norms and standards. The Concept will be prepared with a view to 2050 and will correspond to the Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change in the Conditions of the Czech Republic. The Concept is not intended to include a comprehensive concept of runoff conditions, it is focused on the use of rainwater for vegetation. The Concept will be prepared as a conceptual document intended for the needs of the Statutory City of Karlovy Vary, in particular for the administrator of urban greenery - Spa Forests and Parks of Karlovy Vary, departments of the Karlovy Vary City Municipality, as well as for road administrators and designers preparing reconstructions of public spaces. The aim of the Concept is not to create a general water management study or a theoretical catalogue of measures, but to propose specific localised measures enabling the systematic use of rainwater for the benefit of urban greenery, street tree-lined avenues, parks and other vegetation areas. The Concept will serve as a long-term basis for the effective management of urban greenery and the development of blue-green infrastructure in the city, for planning investments in the reconstruction of public spaces.
