The project intends to reinforce these efforts through inclusive dialogue and reconciliation activities. In this regard, the project will include a significant capacity-building component to ensure sustainability through the establishment and support of a network of local peacebuilders to lead and facilitate community dialogues and peacebuilding throughout Metekel. Strengthening social cohesion and inter-ethnic relations will be a key objective through reconciliation efforts and gender-sensitive and inclusive community dialogues. Peacebuilding projects identified by the communities will also be implemented to address root causes and rebuild relations. Close coordination and cooperation with peacebuilding, humanitarian and development actors through the Benishangul Gumuz Peacebuilding Network will contribute to synergies and increase impact. The Project Coordinator will work closely with a project team based in Metekel Zone. 2. Main Tasks and Responsibilities In close coordination with the Senior Project Coordinator in Addis and the Berghof Foundation's Project Manager in Berlin, the Project Coordinator's tasks may include but are not limited to: Co-manage the overall implementation of the project in Benishangul Gumuz that covers three interrelated phases- inception phase, capacity-building phase, and process phase; Direct and supervise project staff assigned/hired in Addis and Metekel Zone including short-term consultants engaged with service contracts; Lead coordination and collaboration with relevant partners in Ethiopia including experts, key stakeholders, and national and international organizations working in Benishangul Gumuz; Co-responsibility in designing and implementing research, capacity-building activities, reconciliation events, community dialogues, and peace projects; Responsible for donor relations, reporting, and collaboration Establish good working relationships with the government at the federal and regional levels both in Assosa and Metekel zone; Responsible for providing analysis on context developments in Benishangul Gumuz which might impact project implementation; Participation in the preparation of project planning and budgeting process as well as monitoring of implementations in collaboration with the project team of BF; Ensure the provision of administrative, financial, and logistical support for the Ethiopia-related activities of the program (workshops, dialogues, meetings, etc.) Bid closing date: July 17- 28, 2023 Bid opening date: No Specific Opening Date and Time Region: Addis Ababa.
