DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) , is seeking for exprersssions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified companies who can supply Dog Kennels (two pcs) at UNECA, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The objective of this bid is to get a company who can provide the Dogs Kennel based on the below detail specficiation. A. General-Dog Kennels B. Quantity The total number of Dog kennels 2 (Two) C. Warranty 24-month warranty after the installation of the kennels. 1. Made of high-density polyethylene plastic (HDPE), easily washable, framing throughout, longevity, low maintenance, suitable for all dog breeds. 2. the wall panels have to be strong, durable, and able to resist the hit & knock from the working dogs. 3. Kennel lining- superior exterior grade ply for added insulation and chew prevention. 4. Kennels Insulation- for warmth in the winter and comfort in summer. 5. Metal fixings should be made of zinc-plated or galvanized metal (frame plates should be galvanized.) 6. the floors should be strong, durable, easily washable, and non-slippery surface. 7. all hinges and door bolts are to be galvanized for a maintenance-free long life. 8. galvanized anti-chew kits fitted in vulnerable areas like pop holes, box edges, floor edges, etc. 9. Run sections are made of hot dip galvanized metal inside and outside. 10. All dogs’ run sections are built of heavy-duty mesh or solid bars with a diameter of 6mm 50mm 50 mm boxing frame. 11. Outer walls and floor are built in consideration of the weather conditions of Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and to comply with recommended insulation values. 12. Wall panels, roof panels, and run sections are assembled with special screws and bolts without welding. 13. Easily install with limited manpower. 14. The inner and outer wall panels are fitted with inbuilt concealed conduits for electrical wiring. 15. Light green color 16. The walkway covers the water gutter throughout the kennel length. 17. Technical manual, installation guide, and structural design should be supplied with the product. D. Type and Dimensions of the Kennel 1. Standard combination kennel type. 2. the cabin is 1500 mm wide  and 1750 mm deep 3. The run is 2000 mm wide  and 1750 mm deep 4. The walkway in front of the kennel is 1000 mm wide and has covered by the same roof that goes over the kennel. 5. The total depth and length of the kennel with the walkway are 2750 mm deep  and 3620 mm long. 6. The height of the kennel at the front is 2000 mm, at the rear space 2500 mm, and the walkway height is 2000 mm. 7. The thickness of the HDPE plastic board or panel is 50 mm. 8. The floor with the same thickness but has a 5 mm polypropylene sheet on top of the planks for easy cleaning. Amendment of Kennel dimensions:- Technical specifications for Kennel measurement: • Width= 3.53 m • Front height= 2.20 m • Depth= 1.75 m • Back height= 2.10 m The successful bidder(s) will be contracted to provide the Services as specified under the Specification to be provided along with the bid document. Companies expressing interest should note that this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) serves as pre-qualification of the companies that will be invited to participate in the tender process .Intrested firms will be invited to the tender by "Request for Quotation(RFQ)" at later stage and the detail requirement will be further specfied in the RFQ document. UNECA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI/ or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The RFQ and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a vendor that is not registered with United Nations Global Market Place(UNGM). Thus, only those vendors who are registered or provisionaly registered or have started their registration process in UNGM will be eligible to receive the solicitation document RFQ. OSCM/REOI v2023-01 [EN] Those interested in responding to this EOI but not currently registered as vendors with UNGM, are encouraged to register before submission date for closing of the EOI in the United Nations Global Market Place (UNGM).
