Svartholma café-restaurant license agreement

The Loviisan kaupunki in Finland from Europe region has released this tender for The City of Loviisa invites bids for the Svartholma service complex based on a concession agreement. Svartholma is a historic sea fortress located on Svartholm Island, approximately 10 kilometers from the center of Loviisa. The significant cultural and historical fortress was built in the 18th century as part of the defense system of the Gulf of Finland. The island and its historic fortress are a popular tourist destination. The subject of the concession is the provision of café and restaurant services in Svartholma as part of the service complex according to the agreement, which includes, in addition to café and restaurant services, marketing and co-development of the Svartholma area and maintenance of the museum and exhibition space. The lease agreement concerns the café and restaurant building with its terraces located in Svartholma. The concession agreement is concluded for four (4) years, and the agreement also includes an option for one (1) year. The first operating period is 1.5.2027 – 30.9.2027 and the last before the option is 1.5.2030 – 30.9.2030. The option applies to the period 1.5.2031-30.9.2031. With the Svartholma café-restaurant operation concession agreement, the City of Loviisa aims to provide a comprehensive, high-quality service experience that supports the island's attractiveness as a tourist destination, a hub for archipelago traffic and a cultural and historical environment. The aim is that the Service Provider's operations support the revitalization of the area, serve the customers of the guest marina, participate in archipelago events and work in cooperation with the City of Loviisa, Metsähallitus, the Finnish National Board of Antiquities, Visit Kotka-Hamina / a partner, which is currently Cursor Oy and the island operator. The café-restaurant's operations are seasonal, running from 1.5. to 30.9. The service concept of the café-restaurant must offer high-quality, attractive services that support the brand of the site, which are placed in a bistro-type, high-quality, but easily approachable concept. The goal is an entity that offers high-quality, reasonably priced and tasty food and drinks in a unique environment, taking into account the needs of different visitor groups. Overall, the service entity supports the identity of the island and the brand to be strengthened.
