The tender was published by Deutsche Gesellschaft f r Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ GmbH on 14 Nov 2025 for 81316543-PM E strengthening of the educational sector and organizational development for PreViMujer III in Ecuador Violence against women is one of the biggest obstacles to the full enjoyment of women s human rights Ecuador has ratified the Convention Against All Forms of Discrimination against Women Cedaw and the Inter-American Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Violence Against Women Bel m do Par Convention and has committed to the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs At the national level women and girls in particular are guaranteed a life free from violence This emerges from the Constitution of 2008 art 35 and art 66 the Penal Code of 2014 art 141 and art 155 and 3 the organic law on the prevention and elimination of violence against women loiv of 2018 However the implementation of effective measures by state and non-state actors focused on preventing violence against women remains a challenge The Prevention of Violence Against Women III Previmujer III project supports the implementation of the loiv and its regulation in the area of preventing violence against women To achieve this capacities are developed and knowledge and methodological tools are passed on to various public and civil society actors so that they can implement innovative and sustainable measures to prevent violence against women The aim of the project is to support state and non-state actors at the central level and in two provinces of Ecuador in introducing regulations to prevent violence against women The project builds on the achievements of Previmujer I and II Through the previous projects contacts were made with key social actors valuable experience was gained in the development application and dissemination of methods and evidence capacities were strengthened and knowledge was systematised In particular the experiences from training and awareness programs for civil servants a systemic prevention model for companies and universities and learning methods for children and young people that were developed for this project should be further used and disseminated The target group is women in all their diversity and throughout their entire life cycle In addition the project is aimed at men children and young people who play an important role in the prevention of gender-based violence The political executing agency is the Ministry of Women and Human Rights MMDH which is responsible for implementing the loiv and for coordinating and networking the state actors of the national system for the prevention and elimination of violence against women SNPEVM at both central and decentralized levels.
