81316543-PM E Strengthening of the Educational Sector and Organizational Development for Previmujer III in Ecuador Violence against women is one of the greatest obstacles to the unrestricted perception of the human rights of women Ecuador has ratified the Convention against all forms of discrimination against women CEDAW and the inter -American Convention to prevent and punish violence against women Convention of Bel m do Par and committed itself to the goals for sustainable development SDGS At the national level women and girls in particular guarantee a life free of violence This emerges from the constitution of 2008 Art 35 and Art 66 the 2014 Criminal Code Art 141 and Art 155 as well as 3 the organic law to prevent and eliminate violence against women LOIV from 2018 However the implementation of effective measures by state and non -state actors who focus on the prevention of violence against women remains a challenge The Prevention Prevention of Violence against Women III Previmujer III supports the implementation of the LOIV and its regulation in the area of prevention of violence against women In order to achieve this capacities are developed and knowledge and methodological instruments are conveyed to various public and civil society actors so that they can implement innovative and sustainable measures to prevent violence against women The aim of the project is to support state and non -governmental actors in the central level and in two provinces of Ecuador s state and non -state actors to introduce regulations for the prevention of violence against women The project builds on the achievements of Previmujer I and II The previous projects made contact with key players valuable experiences in the development application and spread of methods and evidence strengthened capacities and knowledge systematized In particular the experience from training and sensitization programs for civil servants a systemic prevention model for companies and universities as well as learning methods for children and adolescents who were developed for this project are to be used and widespread The target group are women in all their diversity and throughout their life cycle In addition the project is aimed at men children and adolescents who play an important role in the prevention of gender -specific violence The political organization is the Ministry of Women and Human Rights MMDH which is responsible for the implementation of the LOIV and for the coordination and networking of the state actors of the national system for contraception and elimination of violence against women SNPEVM at a central and decentralized level
