The City of Frankfurt am Main - The Magistrate - Department of Culture and Science Staff Office for the Future of Municipal Theaters in Germany from Europe region had released this tender for Acoustic preliminary planning and consulting services The St dtische B hnen Frankfurt are among the most renowned spoken and musical theaters in Europe and integrate all the functions necessary for successful ensemble and repertoire operations Buildings for events but especially performance buildings require a high acoustic standard in order to enable simultaneous use without disruption for the approximately 1 200 employees and an excellent sound experience for the audience When developing the new theater and opera stage structures as well as the replacement and interim venues it is important to design the acoustic parameters of all functional areas This includes both the public event areas e g auditoriums foyers as well as the internal operating areas e g stage back and side stages orchestra pit rehearsal rooms rehearsal stages traffic areas service The creation of the acoustic planning as preliminary planning for the creation of partially functional service descriptions and the ongoing advice and technical support of the client AG on acoustic topics is the content of the services to be commissioned here The preliminary planning services consist of the preparation of the specialist plans for building acoustics room acoustics and sound emission protection as orientation planning for the architectural competition under the leadership of the separately commissioned theater-related preliminary planning The service content includes in particular the development and updating of project requirements with regard to acoustics as well as advice on the implementation of architectural competitions planning and construction awards taking into account the project goals within the context of acoustic planning The aim is to create the most efficient efficient environmentally and climate-friendly venues possible which provide the basis for top artistic performance good working conditions and functional and safe jobs Building on the investigations that have already been carried out in particular Annex A01 - Report on the future of municipal theaters September 2021 and Annex A02 - Supplementary test orders on the future of municipal theaters February 2023 optimization potential for implementation and subsequent management must be identified presented in variants and coordinated with the AG and other project participants Continuous support is required throughout the entire planning and construction phase As part of the provision of services the client must be comprehensively advised on user requirements relating to the special trades What is relevant here is identifying potentially critical aspects and developing appropriate planning and construction specifications in coordination with the client The services for stage planning and preventive fire protection are awarded separately by the AG and must be taken into account with tender notice no. 001-G17-2025-00004 published on 14 Oct 2025.
