Emerging methodologies, such as DevOps mindset, agilewith scrum and iterative data science project management are transforming the process of design, development and deployment of AIapplications. This is the subject of precursor ESA studies, developing an MLOps platform (Ground Segment operations automation usingAI, Machine learning platform of spacecraft operational datasets) where a secured way to break classical TRL maturity ramp-up andallow delivery of TRL4-6 within operations, raising maturity directly beside operators, is being addressed. The proposed activity, complementing the previously referred activities, is focused on the introduction of the qualification and validation processes, at data, model and system levels, hence the draft ECSS HB-40-02A Machine Learning Qualification handbook will serve as an applicable document.
