Construction work: Reinforcement of a dam including construction of a sheet pile wall near Eschede, Str. 1720

The DB InfraGO AG – Track Division (Bukr 16) in Germany from Europe region has released this tender for Reinforcement of a dam including the construction of a sheet pile wall near Eschede, Route 1720. The Lehrte - Cuxhaven line (Route 1720) between km 62.800 and 65.400 (between Eschede and Unterlüß) is built on a sloping dam. This dams stability was severely compromised by heavy rainfall followed by a period of freezing temperatures. Through structural measures (including the installation of a geogrid-reinforced gravel base course, the targeted placement of gravel-filled big bags, and slope flattening), the dam was stabilized and reinforced on both sides and reopened for rail operation. This contract covers construction work for the permanent and final reinforcement of the dam.
