DLR Braunschweig – Building 888, Refurbishment of high-voltage systems, medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear - Planning of technical equipment, plant group 4, service phases 5-9 according to §§ 53 ff. HOAI

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) | TI-ZVM in Germany from Europe region has released this tender for The DLR site in Braunschweig comprises an approximately 16.5-hectare property with a technical infrastructure that has evolved over decades. Electrical supply is provided by an existing 20 kV medium-voltage network in a ring structure with a total of seven transformer stations. The existing medium- and low-voltage switchgear is predominantly over 20 years old and is to be successively renewed to meet current technical, operational, and future requirements. The total connected load of the site is approximately 11.5 MW. The switchgear to be considered within the scope of this project accounts for approximately 4.7 MW. In addition, the integration of photovoltaic systems with a capacity of approximately 1.5 to 2.0 MW is planned for the future. The switchgear to be designed must be dimensioned accordingly for the anticipated future switching and supply capacities. The project includes the renewal of the medium- and low-voltage switchgear in the existing stations, including all necessary planning, tendering, awarding, and monitoring services. The renewal of the medium- and low-voltage cables, conduit routes, and cable pulling ducts will be carried out as a separate project and is not part of this contract. An interface list will be provided. The estimated cost for the refurbishment (cost group 440, as of October 2025) is approximately €5.8 million net. The following milestones are planned: - Contract award: March 15, 2027, - Start of construction: November 8, 2027, - Completion date: December 27, 2030.
