The University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR in Germany from Europe region has released this tender for In the name of the Medical Faculty, the following procurement is carried out: Within the research project "KOMPASS – Combined platform for substance and system development", the microscopic research infrastructure will be expanded by two high-performance systems for high-resolution and three-dimensional fluorescence imaging. The procurement covers the delivery, installation, and commissioning of a confocal laser scanning microscope and a light-sheet microscope, including the respective required hardware and software components, image acquisition and analysis software, computing systems, accessories, as well as training or application training. The procurement is carried out in two lots. Lot 1 – Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope Procurement of an inverse confocal laser scanning microscope for demanding fluorescence microscopic research applications. The system shall particularly enable high-resolution multidimensional and spectral imaging as well as the investigation of dynamic cellular processes. Among other things, it shall provide multi-color and high-speed imaging, fluorescence lifetime measurements (FLIM), FRET/FRAP applications, as well as the acquisition and analysis of 3D and time-series data. The system shall have flexible excitation and spectral detection capabilities and be suitable for quantitative and functional fluorescence imaging. The associated software shall enable control, acquisition, processing, quantification, and analysis of multidimensional image data. Lot 2 – Light-Sheet Microscope Procurement of a light-sheet microscope for rapid three-dimensional fluorescence imaging of biological samples. The system shall particularly be suitable for gentle volumetric imaging of living 2D and 3D cell cultures, tissue samples, and other biological model systems, as well as for long-term and high-throughput experiments. The system shall be capable of rapid acquisition of three-dimensional image data with multi-channel fluorescence imaging, automated sample and light sheet alignment, as well as the use of different sample carriers including slide carriers, cell culture dishes, and multiwell plates.
