The Stadterneuerungsgesellschaft Stralsund mbH in Germany from Europe region has released this tender for The planned Frankenhalle is a new three-court sports hall, primarily intended for use by the school center at the Sund (also known as Campus am Sund). The school's current location is on the edge of the historic old town, at the transition to the Frankenvorstadt district. Both districts are densely populated and well-connected. The "Schulzentrum am Sund" is a cooperative comprehensive school (KGS) where the regional and academic tracks operate as equal partners in a social and educational community. The aim of the construction project is to build a modern, accessible three-court sports hall for approximately 1,000 students in grades 5 through 12 at the Schulzentrum am Sund. The Hanseatic City of Stralsund plans to construct this three-court sports hall on an adjacent plot of land next to the Schulzentrum am Sund. The planning for the new three-court sports hall is based on the development of a modern and contemporary sports hall, taking into account the requirements for accessibility, school sports, remedial instruction, all-day care, and recreational sports. The available building plot borders directly on the southern boundary of the school campus. To the west of the building plot is a four-story, and in some parts five-story, residential building, and to the south, a two- to four-story residential and commercial building. The construction of a future bicycle and pedestrian path is planned along the eastern edge of the property and will be considered in further planning. The site is largely connected to utilities. As part of the new planning, some public utility providers will need to be relocated to the site. The three-court sports hall will have a playing field measuring 45.0 x 27.0 m, which can be divided into three playing fields of 27 x 15 m each by two dividing curtains, in accordance with DIN standards. A perimeter impact wall is planned. The floor will be constructed as a sprung wooden floor or an area-elastic floor to absorb impact. The clear height of the sports hall will be 7.0 m.
