The system will be constructed as a tensioned catenary overhead contact line with the contact wire suspended from masts using cross spans and cantilevers. The scope of work includes, in particular: I. Supply and installation of approximately 1,500 m of contact wire, II. Supply and installation of approximately 1,500 m of catenary wire, III. Supply and installation of approximately 30 single-track catenary cantilevers, IV. Supply and installation of 3 cross spans (catenary), V. Supply and installation of 8 tensioning springs (Tensorex), VI. Supply and installation of 3 mast switches including remote drives, VII. Dismantling of 2 temporary masts including foundations, VIII. Necessary assembly, fastening, cabling and wiring work, as well as testing, adjustment, readjustment and commissioning work, and IX. Necessary adaptations and connections to the existing overhead contact line system. The overhead contact line system is to be designed for a nominal voltage of 750 V DC (operating voltage approximately 825 V DC). The standard contact wire height is approximately 5.50 m above the top of the rail; the system height is approximately 1.80 m. The overhead contact line will be a tensioned catenary system. The work must be integrated into the construction sequence of the overall project and, in particular, into the concurrently carried out road, sewer, and track construction work. Continuous, uninterrupted construction access cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the work must be carried out in sections and according to the specified construction phases. Construction will generally be carried out while maintaining private and public bus traffic. The contractor must coordinate its work with the company responsible for traffic control and with other parties involved in the construction. According to current plans, the main construction phases for the overhead contact line work will extend from March 2027 to the end of 2027. These phases include, in particular, the fabrication and installation of the overhead contact line system in construction phases 4 to 6, as well as remaining work.Subsequent adjustments and acceptance tests will take place during the following construction phase. The overhead contact line system is scheduled to be operational and safe by November 2027. Final adjustments are planned for mid-2028. Specific execution times and interim deadlines are detailed in the tender documents and the master schedule. Changes to the construction schedule due to the progress of the overall project remain reserved.
