The tender was published by Federal Institute for Hydrology on 17 Nov 2025 for Measuring changes in bed height using radar for parabolac The contractor must provide a total of four independently usable radar-based distance measuring systems Each system must be able to be operated independently on the banks of the Tideelbe and must be designed in such a way that it can independently carry out eight distance measurements per day and store the data collected for an uninterrupted and maintenance-free period of use of at least 6 5 months A measuring system consists of several functionally different components see 2 2 1 The radar module must be designed so that it can be mounted on site on a pole that is not included in the scope of delivery It is connected to a waterproof suitcase case via a cable This case has to protect the other system components against environmental influences and contains in particular a data logger and a rechargeable battery which ensures a power supply for at least 6 5 months The measuring system must be designed in such a way that the complete assembly of a measuring system can be carried out by two people The system must be designed in such a way that it can be moved manually to the intended location and installed using standardized tools without the use of special technical aids Furthermore the dis assembly process must be possible within a period of a maximum of three hours The maintenance of the systems is carried out by the client every six months As part of maintenance the replacement of the power unit and data transfer must be ensured It must be possible to carry out maintenance on at least two measuring systems in such a way that it can be completed by two people within a low water cycle of approximately four hours Please refer to the tender documents for a detailed description of the services to be provided.
